My name is Ally Morris and I am a first year graduate student at University of Hawai'i at Manoa. I first realized my passion for research when I conducted a field study along the murky waters of the Moro Cojo Slough in Moss Landing, CA.There, I discovered that I was fueled by my desire to persevere through arduous conditions to make a difference, gain new understanding of our world, and disseminate my work to the public to improve scientific literacy.
I am currently engaged in interdisciplinary research working with a novel sensor to simultaneously monitor both Total Alkalinity and pH. I aspire to become a Professor of Oceanography and principal investigator to provide biogeochemical and ocean technology research opportunities for underrepresented undergraduates. |
